Do You Realize That Almost EVERY Society Publication Is "Old Light" Now?
by minimus innow that the "faithful & discreet slave class" has become essentially the governing body since 1919, almost every publication is obsolete and useless!
(i know, they are useless)..... the fds doctrine is a core teaching unique to jehovah's witnesses and now i believe they will have to change all of their understandings that are recorded in the revelation climax book, ezekiel books---every prophetic book written by the society!.

After a couple of days pondering the "new light" FDS change . . .
by leaving_quietly inso, i've had a chance to ponder this "new light" of the change of definition of fds now for a couple of days.
the initial reaction was of astonishment, and just plain anger, and i can see that i'm not alone in that.
however (assuming matt 24:45-47 is prophetic, parable or not):.

I can see where the adjusted understanding is coming from (the point of view that the FDS is a smaller number.
And yet, this same text, all what 20-30 lines of it, has been there all along. Same exact text that made them claim and defend tooth and nail for decades that its interpretation was exactly the opposite.....
Sorry, they have no more insight than Joe Blow from anywhere...and their "adjusted understandings" are worth as much as their pre-"adjusted understandings". Worth nothing.

No, no direct link. But the verdict and sentence enforce a clear message out there that child abuse and its coverup are very serious crimes that are severely punishable.
It also sets nice precedents in the US legal system for similar cases in the future...

Women are part of the Annointed (144,000 ) to rule with Christ,yet are no part of the F&DS class and have no say in running a congregation at a grass roots level.
by smiddy inand yes i`m familiar with the scriptures that say women should know their place , cant teach , have a head covering if they, do when no capable male is present etc.etc.. yet they can become immortal and rule with christ as an equal with men for a thousand years ?.
are their inconsistincies here that prevent women from being part of the faithful & discreet slave class ?
maybe the women who claim to be of the annointed need to be more vocal and stand up for their rights.
